Noticing the Water/Fire Symbolism to Gain Insight this Snake Year

People have been sharing with me the water/fire events that are happening in their lives right now – and how it's leading them to think differently about the challenges this year is already bringing them. Leaks, faucets and water-appliances dripping or breaking. Lightbulbs, computers, other electronic gear breaking, burning out or otherwise causing problems, digestive problems (fire and water mix for this one), sleep problems (too active mind: fire – sluggishness, yin water).

All of these mundane challenges give us a chance to notice, detach and find a higher message in the symbolism. This is a year to be gentle and patient with ourselves and others – basically, not to get excited as that will only worsen things. It's always the small stuff that tends to accumulate and overwhelm us and this year may pile up more and more smaller and smaller things until we feel like we cannot cope.

While ideally we take care of things in our lives before they accumulate – it will continue to be difficult to do so this year. Give yourself permission to rest and permission to let a few things slide a bit, while taking care of the most important issues (health) slowly, patiently and kindly.

Watchword for this Spring season: Kindness.

If you do not know your Five Elements Composition, it is time to find out so that you can learn how to use natural elements in your environment for healing and well-being. Learn What objects & colors to place around you for balancing your vibration, Which direction to face to reduce stress and charge up your own core energy. Using this knowledge is like building up your immune system through adjusting your visual and energy flow.

Your 5-Elements profile and how to use it is discussed during a Feng Shui consultation with an authentic 5-Elements Feng Shui master, which is still rare in the West.
